• A crossbeam that improves cabin strength has been adopted helping to prevent the hinge pillars from moving outward during collisions.

• Enlarged surface areas where the B-pillars meet the side sills and at the front of each wheel arch are combined with increased overlap between the doors and body frame to minimize door intrusion into the cabin.

• The large cross-sectional area of the B-pillars and the strengthened floor crossmembers minimizes deformation of the vehicle in frontal collisions.
